Delivering smiles and nutritious meals!

The Meals on Wheels program delivers convenient, nutritious, high-quality meals to seniors and adults with disabilities in our community! Meals are available both on a long-term basis and temporarily if you are recovering from surgery or illness. This service can be incredibly helpful for older adults who find it difficult to keep up with grocery shopping and cooking on their own. The Meals on Wheels program also serves as a wellness visit from friendly volunteers and a way to connect older adults to other community services!

Volunteers - We Need Your Help!

We need your help! Volunteer with Meals on Wheels to deliver nutritious meals to older adults and adults with disabilities in our local community.

Brighten someone's day!
By volunteering, you’re doing more than delivering food. You’re offering a warm smile, a quick wellness check, and a meaningful connection for older adults and adults with disabilities in our community. Many of our volunteers say it’s one of the most rewarding ways to spend an hour of their day.

Low time commitment!
Volunteers pick up freshly prepared meals from Aŋpétu Téča Education Center on weekdays at 11:00 a.m. and deliver them to a small number of nearby homes and apartments. Most delivery routes are completed by 12:30 p.m. Whether you can help one day per week, one day per month, or just as a substitute when others are occasionally unavailable, your time makes such a meaningful difference.

Eligibility
Meals on Wheels is available Monday through Friday to seniors and adults with disabilities living in the Roseville Area School District.

Cost
We offer a sliding fee scale for all eligible residents based on annual income, thanks to generous donations from individuals and local organizations. You will be mailed an invoice monthly, and you can pay by phone or by mail.

Delivery Times
Please be available between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to receive your meals. There is no meal delivery on Saturday or Sunday.

Nutrition
Our meals are prepared fresh daily! Each meal provides a minimum of 1/3 of the current Daily Recommended Dietary Allowances as adopted by the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Academy of Science. If you're curious about what meals we typically offer, you can view our current menus below.

Frozen Meal Option
We serve hot meals Monday through Friday. Meals are made fresh daily and are diabetic-friendly!

We also offer frozen meals. Our regularly made meals are frozen, and you receive a chef’s choice of frozen meals once per week. Frozen meals are delivered on most Mondays, and you can choose how many frozen meals you would like delivered. If you have special dietary requirements, we can order the following frozen meal types:
